Free kick competition!

For the next few weeks in class you will be designing an arm for your robot that’s going to be its leg!(ha ha)

First:
You’re going to attach a third motor to your robot using the following instructions:

Horizontal motor parts view

Write out your parts list that you need in order to get the cabinet pass and build the motor.

Second:

This will only attach the motor it will not build your kicker leg. That design is up to your team. You and your partner need to sketch out your idea for how you will make a kicker leg and then list out the parts that you want to use. See my example for what your schematic should look like.

Once you have your schematic and parts list you can go to the cabinet and get the parts you need to build Your arm/leg.

Third:

There will be two colored balls on the playing field. Your robot needs to determine which way to kick the ball based on the color the ball is. You will need to use a sensor to accomplish this. You only need to use one. You can use more if you like. You and your partner need to figure out how to code the robot to choose which way to hit the ball.

On your planning guide draw out what you think the program will look like or explain it in words if you don’t want to draw the blocks. Once you have shown your planning guide with the drawn out or written out program to your teacher you will get your computer to program.

The team with the most balls kicked correctly will win a prize!
